So I work in events at a hotel whose name rhymes with Farriott, and I have two coworkers who are not 18 yet and therefore have to leave at 10, which means they only end up doing 5 hours. The rest of us work from 5 until finish and as we work events this normally ends up being at least 1am. However, my two underage coworkers are lazy as fuck, they don’t even try to carry more than a few plates at a time when we’re clearing and one guy regularly doesn’t listen to us telling him what to do and instead does whatever he wants which messes up the system that we have to make things go as smoothly as possible, and the other coworker actually eats off people’s plates as she is clearing them, which is unhygienic as fuck. When the chef puts out leftover meals specifically for the people who have to stay late because ya know, we need to actually eat and have a break, these two coworkers try and save plates for themselves even though we only get enough for the people staying on, and then complain when we try and hide these plates so they can’t steal them??? It winds me up because myself and my other coworkers have had to go without food before and these kids just don’t give a shit as long as they get food at the end of their short ass shift. I live for the shifts that they aren’t there because I love my job, they just make it so much harder than it needs to be
